writing organization in the world who offers a variety of services to people
who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children's literature.
The SCBWI acts as a network for the exchange of knowledge between writers,
illustrators, editors, publishers, agents, librarians, educators, booksellers
and others involved with literature for young people.
New England branch of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators

Children's Book Council- A non-profit trade organization dedicated
to encouraging literacy and the use and enjoyment of children's books.
This site has loads of useful information.

Author Verla Kay- Go to this site to get information on how to get started writing for children, and what to do after you start selling. I particually like Verla's monthly workshops (IRC chats) where she chats with authors/illustrators, editors, and agents, who focus on all kinds of interesting topics concerning writing for children. If you miss the live chats you can read the transcripts from past workshops.
